Election results, Ireland: Presidential Election 1990
The presidential election of 1990 was contested by three candidates. The candidates were:
Brian Lenihan (Fianna Fail)
Mary Robinson (Independent - unoffical Labour Party candidate)
Austin Currie (Fine Gael)
Voting took place on Wednesday, 7th November, 1990.
After the second count Mary Robinson was declared elected and was inaugurated as President on 3rd December, 1990.

Votes are casted through a system of proportional representation and the system of Single transferable vote (STV) is applied. Voters indicate an order of predilection for each contender, and the ballots from eliminated candidates are re-distributed.
The results reports the distribution of Curries votes.
