<li>Brian Lenihan (Fianna Fail)</li>
<li>Mary Robinson (Independent - unoffical Labour Party candidate)</li>
<li>Austin Currie (Fine Gael)</li>
</ul>
<p>Voting took place on Wednesday, 7th November, 1990.</p>

<p>After the second count Mary Robinson was declared elected and was inaugurated as President on 3rd December, 1990. </p>
